Tofu Cute Shop Preview

☆ Super exciting, long-awaited news!! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧☆

Today we have something really special for you all; Tofu Cute's first ever permanent shop is finally open for a preview period in the run up to Christmas!

The shop is located at 128-130 Kingston Road in Tofu Cute's hometown of Portsmouth (south coast UK). There are many finishing touches that aren't complete yet, so our grand opening will be in January. However, we wanted to give all those cuties who have been waiting so patiently for the shop to open a chance to check it out before Christmas! We wanted to say a big thank you to all of the people of Portsmouth for being so patient as we realise for some we've been quite the tease!
We are so proud to finally be able to say "Come on in! Welcome to Tofu Cute!" (*＾▽＾)／

It's been just over a year now since the shop mysteriously appeared, so it's super exciting to finally be able to open the door to the public.
The Tofu Cute shop opened this morning at 10am, we even had a few people waiting outside! Within our first few customers, some even had Tomodachi Cards! How amazing is that~
Many of our customers today have been long time fans of Tofu Cute and shopped with us online previously, some had simply been made curious after walking past so often and catching glimpses.

It was lovely to see people come into the kawaii slice of Japan that we have created here in cloudy Portsmouth. As Christmas is the season, the front window is decorated with a cuddly winter scene full of adorable Seals, snow topped Mt. Muji's and of course fluffy Alpacas, perfect for snuggling on a cold winters night. (｡･ω･｡)

As expected we have a wide range of delicious Japanese confectionery including Japanese DIY candy kits, Pocky and all sorts of sweets and biscuits from all over Asia. We also have plenty of adorable gifts and stationery, including all sorts of keychains and phone charms not to mentions bags and pencil cases. We are constantly receiving new ranges of stock so the shelves may not stay the same for long! Make sure to keep an eye out if you do pop in for a visit occasionally. (っ˘ڡ˘ς)

 If you're stuck on a gift ideas for Christmas, we have some interesting and unique items that would make great stocking fillers and presents! Secret Santa is now a breeze with strange and wonderful Japanese snacks!（Ｕ・ω・）⊃

After a year of hard work, divided up between conventions around Europe, and running our online webshop, we've been doing our best to get the shop open and ready to greet customers. After a year of the shop being our home from home it was very strange to have customers walking about inside this little pink haven we have created. It was quite an unusual and very nerve-racking feeling but overall it was really satisfying and uplifting to know that we have finally achieved one of goals of being able to serve customers in our own little world of cute! ヽ(;;・ω・)ﾉ

Some of our customers even travelled long distances to be here today on our first day of launch! This wonderfully charming family came all the way from Winchester, we were so delighted to meet them all! (｡◝‿◜｡)

The shop will be open at 10am on Sunday 14th, and will remain regularly open during the run-up to Christmas. We hope to see some of you here over the next few weeks, and thank you for being so patient! We are so grateful to all our amazing customers! We couldn't be here without you~ (๑>◡<๑)
