To round off our valentines post how about some Tofu Trivia!
Japanese Valentines day is very different to ours in that, it has two dates February 14th is a time for Girls to give chocolates and other gifts to boys! And on March 14th, boys reciprocate their gifts and give a present back to the girls, this day is called White Day. (UωU)
There are 3 different names of chocolate gifts!
♥ Chocolate given to boys that girls don't have special feelings for such as co-workers and bosses are called "giri (obligation)-choco (chocolate)
♥ Chocolates given to a special boy from a girl is called "honmei (prospective winner)-choco."
♥ Recently, Japanese girls exchange chocolates with their female friends. These chocolates are called "tomo (friend) choco."
